Bio
Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jená moved to Seattle in 1988 in search of a theatre company and found One World Theatre. She is most proud of her role in creating her daughter...and the One World touring productions of Mother Courage and Her Children, Waiting For Godot, The Doctor In Spite of Himself (co-produced with Theater Schmeater), Quixote 2.0 at the Seattle Fringe Festival, and her favorite of all time: Mirette and Bellini, co-written with Christopher Petit, toured internationally with Seanjohn Walsh. Ms. Cane has taught in schools and drama camps all over the state, most recently directing the middle school play at TOPS. Jená is also a partner at The Guiding Lights Network where she brings imagination and creativity from her life in the theatre to events and people who need more "What if..." & "Yes, and..."
